About The Artist
Hello! My name is Emily and I am the founder of Old Town Oysters. I am a Florida native and my love for the ocean began very young. As a kid I would play mermaids in the ocean and now I feel most at home when I am out on the water fishing or taking a walk on the beach.
Old Town Oysters began as a hobby one summer I had off as a teacher. After time, I began to improve my work and started selling in my neighborhood. Now, I am currently selling at local markets and online. The name Old Town Oysters originates from the history of my town, Fernandina Beach.
My flagship designs are inspired by my grandmother's house in Charleston, South Carolina. Her timeless decor taste is something I greatly admire.
All of our oyster shells are handpicked by me and upcycled in Amelia Island, Florida, meticulously cleaned, and ready for in home use. We offer a variety of oyster shell art such as jewelry dishes, napkin rings, shadow boxes, wine stoppers, and ornaments. Please do not hesitate to reach out for any custom or bulk orders.
